I Want to Start a Thread about Staff

i have a 2 questions for Staff, and a possible suggestion for Admin:

1. what are the differences in "powers" associated with each color?

2. too often i see Elite HOF's, Vets, Monitors, Knowledgeable Members, Productive Members (basically all the colors) - asking new members to Edit their post, usually because of rule violation #2.

my questions is: why don't the staff have the authority/power/ability to edit these posts immediately with a short note explaining the staff edit, and a warning? instead of everyone (including staff) telling the OP to edit his post over and over again, one of the staff could simply edit it as ive suggested?

again, this is simply a question and suggestion. don't ban me!! *flails arms up to protect face* lol
