Interesting story Yannick. Glad to see he's done ok all these years without really taking any precautionary measures whatsoever. Hell, safety measures such as people use today as well as available information were not around back then.

The problem that made me realize is that can we thrust the information given today? the more is better is always there but the body does have its limit.
Back then has you say they did not have all the supplements we have today, they ate whole food, and they look good too. Yeah they did the steroids but nothing major.
Today we got BCAA, glutamine, whey, about a million brand of creatine multi vitamins and are told to eat 6 times per day or you wont get your full potential.
I did the 6 times per day eating and it was a pain, real pain to preprare meals like that, so i had to turn to milk shakes and bars. At one point i was close to 250g of protein per day, it did make a difference, but i got the same results has when i am eating 120-150g per day.
Same has cutting carbs he said its ridiculous, he is semi retired and he still trains the young guys in the gym ,lets just say they are lucky to have him.
Each time i low carbed i felt like total crap, low energy, no pumps, recuperation after a workout was very long, lactic acid and more. Problem is everything we talked about i expericed at one point or another, so i cannot argue with the guy on many points.
Yeah i take glutamine MSM, creatine, BCAA, whey protein shake to reach my daily need but to be honest do i really need that, eating whole eggs and meat, veggies, fruits, and whole bread would cover much of my needs.
He drinks a 1 litre of milk after is workout that is, is post workout meal, he said that to lose weight its all about eating less, not what you eat, sure eating protein and good carbs and fats is they way to go, not like that stupid twinky diet that i saw once on the internet a guy lose 40 pounds eating twinkis all day 1400 cals of them.
I feel that the old dogs have so much to show us, hey i am 40 years old getting up there but i am ready to set things aside and learn.
