    IF and steroids

    Hello,

    Has anyone had experience using the IF lifestyle and incorporating a cycle of Steroid to their regiment?

    I'm planning to do a Test E only cycle (Lean bulk) in the near future and was wondering if the 6 meal would be better vs then having 2 large meals.

    I find with IF I can tweak my diet with ease.

    Any advice or people with experience would be great!

    If you could bulk on IF then adding some AAS into the mix should be fine.

    To be honest I've never tried IF but most of the people I know who have tried it haven't made great gains while trying to bulk. I'd stick with the conventional 6 meals if you are planning to cycle, it's stood the test of time for a reason.

    Take a look at my thread, its like 8 posts down, as of me typing this.

    One can gain muscle using IF, but the calories need to be high enough. Meaning if you need to take in 3000 to gain, then you need to get that 3000 in. (this rule seems to me to be more important for the non-AAS enhanced)

    If you are able to do that, in say a 5 hour window, or 8 hour window, then by all means try it.

    So far I've used IF for cutting, and while at first I was doing it natural, later on I added AAS (testosterone + proviron), to it.

    Not only did I keep all my muscle, I actually gained, even while in a VERY harsh caloric deficit, we are talking 1,000 or greater deficit each day.

    For those people who do not gain while using IF, I'd like to know if they were eating enough calories? Its quite easy to believe you are eating enough, or even too much because of how full you will feel, but that does not mean you have taken in enough vs. the amount you burned.

    6 meals a day is broscience. IF proved it. Just another BS myth just like the dumbass "no carbs before bed" from idiots at the gym. There is huge success stories with IF everywhere on the net.

    Impressive Fatman! Good job!

    I think I will try a lean bulk and a 12 week cycle of 500 test E in November with IF. I'm going to do a bit more research first. Can't seem to find anything.


    Yes rhoads90, IF is getting pretty popular and backed up scientific evidence! Not mainstream yet but I say in another 5-10 years it will be.

    good luck getting that much food in the small window. some can do it, i can not. maybe if i switched out protein for carbs at 60%

    Yeah I know what you mean, I get really full! But right now I only have 2 large meals. with the lean bulk I plan on having 3 meals in my window.

    I'm getting real close to my 8%bf way before my 6 weeks approximation. I never thought this style would benefit me so much...

    I'm curious though... are you still doing IF? I seen that your looking to lose another 3-4% bf and cycling your carbs. I have been following the lean gains approach: low carbs and high fat non training days and high carbs low fat. It's really helped me finally lose those stubborn bf areas.

    im not sure if IF would work for me right now. my issue is getting so much food in. But its possible ive been thinking it over. , but when im back to 340g protein and such , its hard to eat so much in three meals, UNLess i freshly bbq all of that each meal, my body can eat alot more when its like that,

    When you do your IF do you have any whey durring the day? I am on a simular plan but I get as much coffee as I want to supress hunger. I have 1/2 scoop of whey in my coffee for bfast and another while Im at gym. I work out at 9am M-F. Then 2 scoops of wheyand 1/2c oat for post wo shake. Meals start 1-2 hrs later. Just trying to see what has worked for others.

    im a anal elitist jerk, in a fast i wont use whey.

    I really wanted to do this. I know that IF worked for me while cutting, I was just wanting it to work for me while on cycle. But I didn't give it a chance . Craziness I know but I really want to do it I'm just a little freaked out by that step. I mean I gained lean mass while doing IF while cutting I'm not sure why it wouldn't work while on cycle and while upping cals during bulk.

    Enough to create a light Insulin response. Technically this is breaking the fast too early. Like mock, I would stay away from it
    5-10g BCAA prior to a fasted workout are enuff to keep protein Synthesis going

    I have been going off the Carb Back-Loading book. Which says I am supposed to have a am accelerator shake consisting of 1-2c coffee 10g whey and 1g of MCT oil. Then 1-2c coffee with 20-30 g of whey 2-3g MCT and 5 g creatine for pre workout. Book states to work out in pm(5-7pm) with this diet but am training is ok but diet changes slightly. Says fasted training but since I wo later in am I still have just coffee/10g whey. Strength is coming back but I do think I still have some tweaks to get it honed in.

    I suggest trying it. Worst case, it does not work for you, but at least you will know.

    I plan to try IF with a 12 week cycle of Test E 500mg only for the purpose of a ''lean bulk'' sometime in November. I might even make a log out of it on this site with before and after pics.

    It will be interesting...

    you should for sure do that i dont think theres enough knowledge on here for that type of dieting with AAS i think fatman225 is the only one ive seen so far
