I tried it for fat loss. It did nothing that the diet couldn't of. I only got lovely cramps and mild shakes.

I've heard at some doses it can be anabolic. I have yet to see/read real evidence for this.
The anti-catabolic uses I have heard, but how much difference it actually makes, I don't know. With good diet, training and PCT you should be fine. That's the general impression I have from many threads on these forums.
