That was first heated with a butane flame and injected IV, where you have tons of WBCs circulating, ready to kill any pathogens. Your muscle is a much better environment for bacteria to grow in.
If you boiled it for like 30 minutes, sure.
100 C will kill all living pathogens besides endospores (which aren't produced by the major bacteria in your mouth) and the ones that live on the ocean floor next to heat ducts.
It won't sterilize, but it will certainly sanitize.
And all bacteria grow best at 37 C (body temp) for obvious reasons. Most will quickly stop multiplying at around 40 C and only a few will do well in the 40s Celcius. A fever is your body's attempt at slowing infection by cranking up the temp to prevent the growth of pathogens.
