If he switches his diet from that to 100% clean, he won't magically grow muscle again. You can put on muscle eating big macs just like you can with grilled chicken breast. Let's say he overhauled his diet, which isn't really that awful (though obviously can improve), he might lose some fat and that's it. Overall his calories are 3500 a day. That is probably an ideal number for him.
