what is more important to you, being bigger and stronger or being faster and having more endurance?
I find with cycles those are two very conflicting goals for the most part. You could run a 8 week prop cycle or 10 week cyp cycle and I would pretty much gaurentee you would put on 10-15 lbs of solid muscle making you bigger and stronger but that extra weight will slow you down.
Honestly I would say if your looking for bigger and stronger a cycle would be great for you, but if your more concerned about speed and endurance I would just train specifically for that and train natural
That was my concern. I'm only talking about 10 extra lbs at the most. What about upping my cardio on cycle, and hitting the weights even harder? Endurance is always important for my work, but the bulking part is for my personal satisfaction ya know.
oh I know it man, and lived it lol.
From my personal experience my best 5 k time around 21 minutes when I weighed about 175 lbs, but I could only bench about 205 once or twice
The best my lifts ever got was when I was 192 pounds and I could easily bench 275 for six reps but would literally get shin splints walking for more than 10 minutes and jogging was just out of the question.
Now I am about 185 lbs, I could probably run a 5 k in about 25 minutes and I can bench 255 for ten reps.
I think balance is really key, however if you focus on both cardio and adding muscle through weight lifting your really just going to tred water and only make small gains.
The harder you hit cardio the more it eats into your lifting routine, you know?
Essentialy if your willing to lose a bit of endurance and cardio abilties adding 10 lbs from a cycle can be great but I really do think your cardio will go down
