Calm down guys, meteorites are entering our atmosphere all the time.

This one happened to be quite big, about the size of a bus, and exploded when entering the atmosphere. It then fragmented over that Russian province.

Some of the videos are amazing, if not terrifying.

I'd be more worried about this thing that's going to be passing us soon:

was listening to a scientist on the radio today. As far as we know, the earth has been hit by 5 asteroids, the last one which finished the dinosaurs off for good. This was 65 million years ago. Now the law of averages dictate that we are due another 'soon'. But soon is subjective. Soon could be in the next 50 years, could be in the next million years. For Earth standards, that's soon. For us mere humans, that is a life time.

LOL... I hate history. But... even more intriguing a meteor is supposed to get REALLY close to the US tonight. That one DA whatever meteor all over the news is suppose to get closer to the states than any other meteor ever in history. Between that and 405 getting abs... the world may really be ending and we are all fvcked!
