    I dont remember for sure. I looked them up at the time and to rent a house like that for 1 month was $250 - $350 depending on the area. I'm sure it's more now. I'm sure you can find good deals out there though. I would rent, not buy. You cant own land in Thailand unless you are Thai or married then you can only own 45% of it which is the same a 0% if you get divorced. Either that or make sure you have a prenuptial like mine and she is aware of it. Wife #1 Deceased. Wife #2 Deceased. Wife #3 undermentioned...

    You can sort of purchase a house there....basically it's exactly as lovbyts said, foreigners cannot own property. BUT, if you want to buy a home or something you can "lease" it for 100 years. So it's yours until you die basically.....that's just how the Thai people like to do it with farangs (foreigners).
