Well, as we all know here on the board, we get challanged all the time. This is a healthy thing, since now I realize many of the things I thought I knew, weren't necessarily true. Like eating every two hours helps improve metabilism.

It's too bad. I wish it were true. I still eat frequently. Just no expectations of improving metabolism because of it.
I kind of wish all the bro stuff I learnt was true too.... I felt like a real genius in my bro'ish ways lol....

I love the debates here or anywhere.... Debating anything like this is fun for me....

We used to do a thing at school where they would split the classroom.... Then a topic would be raised and a debate started.... Whatever side of the room you had to take that side of the debate even if you actually agreed with the other side (sounds like they were training us to be politicians)... Anyway, it was really fun and I still enjoy doing it now.... As adults we can have a good debate and relevant info is raised on both sides.... It doesn't matter who is right or wrong, all that matters is that everyone is open and willing to take in information and then make an educated decision based on what evidence has been presented by all sides....

However some people are just incapable of doing this.... They simply will not change there mind and because it works for them it must mean its right (or optimal, which is what I'm always looking for)....
    Don't be a 'Bro'..... Believe nothing....Question everything

It's not always easy for me to admit I'm wrong when I thought I was 100% right before.....

the other one I thought I had right was the "glycemic window" post workout. Shit, I read books, looked up authoratative references, thought I really knew my shit. then i was challanged. I resisted at first (of course, look at all the work i did making sure I was "right") So then I looked at the counter argument, and it looked just as convincing.

it's funny how you can have two different studies, with two counter conclusions, and each one concludes that the opposing side is wrong, and their side is right.

You have to be careful when reading studies or just abstracts....

Think about it.... You go looking for info that supports what you think is correct... Of corse your going to find it lol.... Research can be done with set peramiters and effect the outcome.... Your better off IMO listening to what people have to say about scientific data who actually are in the know... Layne norton springs to mind....

There is a chance I could go and find data (well an abstract at least (which means nothing BTW)) to support most theory's.... You have to look deeper into the data to really understand the outcome.... As layne norton said in one of his videos, he had read an abstract which suggested the outcome was on thing and then after reading the data himself realised that that wasn't what they found out at all....
