I'm kind of the opposite; i censor myself a lot more in real life, and cut loose on the interwebs.
And no, you're not an asshole; just particular. You still have a group of friends, and presuming they'll still stand by you in times of need, they still find value in your
assholioness. 
I wouldn't worry about it mate; life's too short to concern yourself with what others think (outside your personal/professional circles of influence).
Now, go forth and piss off someone in the Q and A or Diet forums!
