The idea of low test is to limit the excess test causing elevated E2 issues. Some like it higher, some lower and even others equal.
The thought behind it is that tren is much stronger (about 5x more anabolic) so you let it do the work, while the test is there for TRT reasons. In addition lower test will keep E2 problems lower, in turn keeping prolactin related issues more in check also.
As a few people have stated, you can try it either way and see what you like better. To each his own
