Props for trying to earn the title. Best of luck.

I'd have to say that a cycle before recruit training is unnecessary and dangerous. I went in to Parris Island 6 feet tall and 145 pounds of skin and bones, and I had no problems graduating. From what I've heard, it's gotten friendlier since I went there in 2000. I would stick to diet, exercise, and normal supplements.

I can't remember, maybe another vet can help me with this, but don't they do a urinalysis when you get to the depot?

They do a UA but they don't test for gear, that's too expensive to test for the hundreds of thousands of piss tests they do service-wide each month.
