I’m a nurse so the majority of the people I work with are women. All of them talk about wanting to lose weight. Six years ago the conglomerate that I work for began offering bonus checks for every 20lbs someone loss and kept off for 4 months. Five years ago they began offering bariatric procedures for less than half the cost to all employees that qualified. It’s amazing how many women I work with have had some kind of bariatric surgery. The problem is that the surgery helps them loose weight but they don’t fix their initial problem. If you don’t teach someone proper nutrition and the benefits of working out they just gain the weight that they lost back.
I have seen this as well. Still eat the MCDonalds just in smaller quantities and then the quantities seem to get more frequent and the weight starts to creep back on. That's quiet a major surgery.... I am in constant battle cuz I love to eat. I just have to remind myself that my body doesn't require as much. I tried this new approach. Take one bite. One bite can do it for meOriginally Posted by tigerspawn
. Denial just means I will go crazy one day and then hate myself later.
And women do talk about wanting to loose weigh. I hear it too. The same sob story. I don't have time to cook. I don't have time to workout. I don't have time to learn what to eat...blah blah blah.......
^^^ this... but these same girls have the time to put 45 minutes every morning into trying to alter their appearance, time to go out for lunch with the girls, time to spend getting ready for 1-2 hours every friday and saturday night to go out to the club for hours each night, time to spend hung over the next day, time to facebook 2-3 hours/day etc, but 45 mins x 3 times a week is too much to ask for a healthier lifestyle.
This sounds like the chick I lived with for the past two years, and she didn't even work!Originally Posted by Knockout_Power
