Thought they looked familiar. Agreed on laid back, for such a poor, communist country everybody seemed amazingly happy and chilled. I'd definitely go back there.Originally Posted by panntastic

Did you go Luang Prabang BIB?Originally Posted by Back In Black
I could retire to that place
Yes mate, great might market and the biggest gecko ever was in our room. Spent 3 weeks in Laos and didn't have one bad moment. Much more relaxing and friendly than Thailand or Vietnam.Originally Posted by panntastic

I stayed in the boutique hotel was amazingOriginally Posted by Back In Black
Loved the night market
People there just seemed to take things in their stride.
Did you go to the whiskey village up river?
The best place in Vietnam was either halong bay or hoi an I think
Ha long bay was amazing but the water was really dirty, full of rubbish and emissions from all the boats. I got exceedingly drunk there on local 'vodka'. Next day was possibly the worst I've ever felt. Hoi Ann was amazing for being not well kept, if it was all painted it wouldn't be as nice. I enjoyed Hue to but everywhere else was full of annoying pedlars. I feel no need to go back there.Originally Posted by panntastic
I'll see if I can't get some pics up later.

Worst city I think was Hanoi, just dirty not my cup of teaOriginally Posted by Back In Black
Overall though would do it again tomorrow
Did you go coo chi tunnels that the Vietcong used?
That was an experience
Even let a few rounds off from a proper piece of shit AK replica lol
Yeah, the only gun I've ever fired. I was hopeless. I could fit in a tunnel too, not sure I could now though. My Mrs was ill in Hanoi and I bought a pack of Oreo's that had been chewed on by mice.
In Luang Prabang I didn't buy a pack of Pringles because it was out of date. Ever since I've regretted it as it was such a lovely place and I feel like a proper tight arse!

My lad found a snail when playing at the park he spent most of the morning staring at it lol
That's my place in about 10 years.I actually (we) own an island about that size in Philippines and it's protected on both sides by land with water in-between on both sides about the same as this picture. Nice thing about that is it protects is from storms.
Mine has no house on it.... yet.
