Thought they looked familiar. Agreed on laid back, for such a poor, communist country everybody seemed amazingly happy and chilled. I'd definitely go back there.

Yes mate, great might market and the biggest gecko ever was in our room. Spent 3 weeks in Laos and didn't have one bad moment. Much more relaxing and friendly than Thailand or Vietnam.

Ha long bay was amazing but the water was really dirty, full of rubbish and emissions from all the boats. I got exceedingly drunk there on local 'vodka'. Next day was possibly the worst I've ever felt. Hoi Ann was amazing for being not well kept, if it was all painted it wouldn't be as nice. I enjoyed Hue to but everywhere else was full of annoying pedlars. I feel no need to go back there.

Yeah, the only gun I've ever fired. I was hopeless. I could fit in a tunnel too, not sure I could now though. My Mrs was ill in Hanoi and I bought a pack of Oreo's that had been chewed on by mice.
In Luang Prabang I didn't buy a pack of Pringles because it was out of date. Ever since I've regretted it as it was such a lovely place and I feel like a proper tight arse!

Well I guess I need to go visit it one of these days. lol I didnt get a chance last time I was there and it will be a few years before we can start to do any building or clearing. Wife would like to also set it up as a resort with fishing ponds.Get some photos up mate..
