I've always had deadlift as first exercise in my back routine but recently I move it to the end and I actually see I have much more strength in the other exercises and my back looks more wide.

For me it's less warm up needed and I don't have to use quite as much weight. Just feels better at the end to me.

I train legs twice a week and for me I feel deads in my hamstrings and glutes. So I split my leg workouts into front and back deads, straight legs deads, walking lunges, leg curls.

second leg day squats, front squats, hack squats, leg extensions.

And those workouts are at least two days apart.

I do deads on leg day only. Just to concentrate on getting em growing. But that's after too much neglect.

I do normal deadlifts on back days and stiff legged deadlifts on leg days.

I do them on back day only, just because I feel it's more of an upper body exercise though many may disagree. Yes it does take added leg strength to do them but still I feel adding them to legs just doesn't do them justice. Squats and DEADS deserve their own separate sessions.

I put deads with leg day. If I am doing conventional deads instead of doing 4-5 heavy sets I just do 1 heavy set of 3-5 reps and 3-4 ramp sets of 5 reps, but if I am doing RDL I do 4-5 sets of 4-6 reps. I alternate conventional and RDL every other week or so.

3/4 deads as a finisher on back day. Usually 3-4 sets and not super heavy as my lats are ususally fried.

I train deadlifts every other back session, usually after pull ups and lower back extensions.

For me it's back day! I only do full deads every 2-3 weeks! Squats place enough focus on legs for me!

I do rack lifts every week! Keeps the tension where it needs to be and less on legs!

I do deadlifts, followed by good mornings, and then move to upper back, finishing with my traps. Light cardio afterwards. Legs have their own day, and like some, I'll also incorporate stiff leg or Romanian dead lifts for my hamstrings.

There's plenty of guys who do deadlifts with legs, since you're working them, but as a powerlifter, I'm nearly dead after doing them, as I am after squats, so I separate the movements and start with them first.

No wrong way for you to incorporate them here, so maybe try doing them on different days and combining them with legs and see what works best for you.

First exercise on back day. Warmup then 1RM and move on. It's probably my best lift too.
