1) yes. Filter through a .2um sterile pvdf syringe filter into a new sealed sterile vial. Autoclaving (pressure cooker) would be another measure of safety.

No more of a requirement than any other time. With out autoclaving in ANY case, you have a small risk as there are some bacteria that can get through a .2 filter. 0.1 filters will get everything we know of, but it's practically impossible to push oil through them.

You seem to know a great deal about brewing for someone who's been continually buying ugl gear and not brewing yourself. Strange.
