Their "Thyroid Check Deluxe" would be the ideal program to go with, as it includes RT3 and antibodies, which would give a comprehensive insight on everything, including hashis and graves. The problem is it's about 4x more pricey, so it depends on your budget. The standard "Thyroid Panel" would definitely show the markers associated with hypothyroidism, but the others (IMO) will need reviewed at some point to truly access a proper diagnosis, and to help a physician determine an appropriate treatment/medication (if needed).

Also, your first sentence on the OP says that you're frustrated with your doctor. IMO, that's where this thread started, maybe that's the first area that needs addressed ... If your physician doesn't even consider the basic thyroid function when discussing low iron/ferritin, or hypogonadism in general, then it might be time to look at aligning with a physician that is well trained in this area, i.e., A4M Certified.

Well it is funny you said that because I found my doctor through the a4m website directory and he is A4m certified. I asked him right from the get go if he would prescribe an AI if need be and he said he would if BW indicated it, but now he is going against his word. He just says now he wants to get e2 down naturally with Zinc and he has said this the last 2 visits
