I'm just trying to maximize the 3 days I have this week.
Tri-Set
Hammer Incline / Hammer Delt Press / Cable tricep Press Down x 3
Seated Cable Cross Overs/ Side Delt Raise/ Hammer St. Tricep Ext x3
Wooo great way to start the morning.. Awesome read. It's snowing like crazy here and I'm going to have some work to do on the cars and house. Will definitely be getting in there today though.
Cape I'm in the same boat. Just booked travel again for M-Th next week. Will still train but there's nothing like being close to home with your own kitchen.
Let's get in there and make the most out of the little time we have.
Chest was sh1t today, just didn't work for me.
Sad but true, should of gone with legs but didn't!!
You'll get those tomorrow. They can't escape. What was it about chest today? Just didn't get in the zone?Originally Posted by marcus300
It was just one of those days, I didn't even try and get into the zone. I was still sore on the front delts from shoulders which held me back, I should of gone with legs like I was going to do yesterday but changed my mind at last min. Hey ho will have to inflict pain onto myself for this now
I'm hopin tho snow stops so I can go hit legs :-/
I gotta shovel out to go workout lol
Looks like some stiff competetion Haz lol
Finally off to hit legs.....
Right behind you brother. About to go hit shoulders.
En route to destroy shoulders.. Will report back
Yea he looks good for sure. He was literally the ONLY one who looked like that lol
No sir..... Always been too nervous. Afraid I won't do well. Afraid my posing will suck..... Afraid I won't drop enough bf. one excuse after the other hahOriginally Posted by kelkel
The guys who know me at the nutrition store say my size isn't much of an issue. It'll be getting super lean and posing.
*edit* some of them are amateurs who are or have competed.
Haz im glad you stepped up to the plate brother. You def got the size lol. Ive never really seen a full body shot of you but your legs cant be small at 265 lol . Im planning on a competition as well, im at least going to get into contest shape...my calves are mere shit and hamstrings are shit too. Ive got a long way to go with them I hope I am ready for the stage next year. I am going to give it a shot. Ill never be a champion I don't think I just lack too many things, that's what seperates a competitor from a champion...genetics. And im not blessed with the best of them, the guy above is streamlined as fuark, no flaws whatsoever and nothing out of proportion. He looks about 5 8 too...im tall so my limbs are long as hell..but like I said im not blessed with the great genes from top to bottom but I will work with what I have. You will do well im sure man. I know you will be keeping us updated about it.
I know..... Easier said than done. It's Definately something I want to do. It calling me..... Even just for one show. I have to.....Originally Posted by kelkel
My calves measure 18" (last time I checked) - I used to have a mean quad sweep but lost a lot of it after a few knee surgeries. Had my meniscus removed and arthritis taken out twice. I see a difference in the muscle on the surgery side. Since I've gotten back I've been workin on strengthening my legs to handle the heavy weight.Originally Posted by chadcuz1985
I'm now going to start going balls heavy again with wraps or those neoprene wraps kel has. Knee wraps feel really stable on my knee tho. If I don't have pain..... Ill be able to build that sweep back up in no time.

In other news.....
I have a chiropractor appointment this Thursday. I had a great squat session, leg extensions and curls felt great. Did leg presses...... Fvcked my back up on the first working set.
It was angled up so my legs were high and when I lowered the sled it put a ton of pressure on my low back.
The chiropractor will Definately help. I'm excited to go lmao
I went to the chiropractor this afternoon....felt like I was about 25lbs lighter when I walked out of there (in a good way lol).
You should have all the confidence in the world brother. Just a matter of conditioning - getting show ready and practice posing.Originally Posted by Hazard

You too chad.
Don't worry about that either. Do them in the zone where it's most effective for you, keeping safety in mind. Train how you feel. Some days you can take them to your arm pits and be fine, other days cut them off early. It all works! Make a conscious choice of what is the most effective and efficient depth for you and your body as we are not all the same.
Felt a little weak doing shoulders tonight I think becasue my eating patterns and quality of food suffered a bit last week and over the weekend while travelling. Need a couple days to get back in the swing. I'll be travelling again next week Sunday through Thursday and not looking forward to the diet and training aspect of it.
Will have to make the best out of it.
I trained calves a few days ago... And they still feel like I trained them last night. I think I pushed through a new mind/body barrier. That night, when the muscle would work no more, I closed my eyes, gritted my teeth and said 'fvck that' to myself. I pounded out at least 3 or 4 more full reps then handed them some half reps until I thought the tendons would strip from the bones. I repeated that same mindset in the following few days with everything else. I did 4 days in a row that way and my whole body feels sore everywhere. Its probably getting harder to hit failure as conditioning improves but this was more than a small change. Its like I redefined failure again for myself.
I haven't felt this sore in a long time. Taking a few days off to repair but I think I made some kind of breakthrough on a mental level. Like a plateau of the mind. Lol. I'll find out I guess since if that's true, I should see some growth happening quickly again. I've been stuck at 225-230 for months.
