If its OTC, it mist be safe, right? Not so fast!

My HAW ended her var cycle on Sunday. She decided to bridge with OxyElite Pro. I saw her take the pill bottle from the cupboard and told her to toss that stuff. Here's an example of why people shouldn't so quickly assume OTC means a compound is safe. http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/Cons.../ucm374742.htm

My friend was on it and his liver values came back so bad the doc was very concerned. He stopped in and a month later was fine

Thank goodness. Glad he recovered. I'd put this crap in the same category as pro hormones. I call it the crap category. Lol

I sent the recall notice to mine. She couldn't be bothered reading it....but at least she's listening to me. Of course next week she'll just bring home a new OTC thermogenic.

That's crazy... Yeah I guess it must be pretty hard on the liver.

I defiantly dont trust OTC stuff. Do you know in a lot of countries Tylenol isnt sold OTC but aas are, more or less.

Mine is the same way. She wont even take an aspirin/tylenol when she has cramps unless they are bad. She says she doesnt want to get dependent on anything, except me.

I do keep telling her she needs to hit the gym more, the treadmill and cooking more healthy food. I think she is up to 105 lbs. lol

Yeah I know but she is 5' 4" so it doesn't really show yet. She was 98 lbs when we got together 5 years ago so I hope the upward trend does not continue. In another 5 years she might be up to 110 lbs...

My wife is 10lbs heavier than she was when she was modeling. Her family keeps giving her a hard time about it. She keeps insisting she wants lipo but I know a little bit of the weight is likely water retention from her birth control. She only goes to the gym once maybe twice a week and does cardio and ab work. Her diet could be better (mostly noodles, rice, as fried Vietnamese food).

She's already looking up other OTC thermogenic compounds tonight. Good grief.

Not should anyone be really. It's a mess. Second time that company was nailed for using unapproved ingredients!

People would be shocked. Ive looked into it in depth and been banned from more boards than i can count for calling out unscrupulous supp reps on their shitty products and potentially dangerous ingredients...and that was even what they ADMIITED was in the supps!

I wish more people would call them out and expose their garbage for the dangerous products they really are.

    Good on you Jimmy!

OTC just means you can't use it to make meth, can't get high off it, can't get addicted to it, and can't really hurt yourself badly if you're in a mood to kill yourself unless you take so much you probably cant afford it and go home to sleep it off.

It by no means indicates safe and healthy!
