Ok, cool . Thanks! I questioned it because I'm on .25 twice a week and I only take 50mg of test twice a week. When you said he is taking too much for his dose I was nervous that I was maybe taking too much too. I'm due for a blood draw to see where my e2 is at anyway. Good deal!
It's important to recognize that there's no such thing as a dose of a particular AI that goes with a set dose of testosterone. This is often something that's hard for people to understand. We here our friend is taking X amount of testosterone and X amount of AI and he's doing great, so we automatically assume we need the same amount of testosterone and/or AI. Each individual is unique and as a result, what each man needs is unique. For example, you and I take almost the exact same amount of testosterone, you take 50mg twice a week and I take 60mg twice a week. I don't know how much HCG you're using but I use 500 2x/wk. You take 0.25mg twice a wk of anastrozole, I take 0mg. Is my estradiol high? No, it sits right around 19-22.
Again, there are no set in stone rules. I can't tell you how many guys I've seen get follow up blood work done and they're estradiol is below 10 despite taking anywhere from 100-200mg of testosterone per week. They'll start testosterone and their estradiol is even lower than before they started, this does happen. And 99.9999% of the time it's because the individual was convinced that he needed X amount of AI with his set amount of testosterone and so he goes out and gets X amount. And then he's confused and upset about how he's feeling. Happens every single day.
I would say I've received a few hundred emails in the last year where guys have had told me that they read on a message board that they need this or that much AI with this or that much testosterone. And sometimes they do and just as often they don't.
I know I'm beating a dead horse here and I'm not sure if it's doing any good. I simply wish people, at least with out doctors, would listen to their doctor and do what the doctor has told them to do rather than second guessing and pulling info and protocols from all over the place and doing what they want. It creates a mess.
Very true. Way to many forums seem to encourage AI use when it should be avoided until determined to be legitimately necessary. I'm happy that on this one we at least steer guys away from them as much as possible. So many guys could simply avoid it by altering protocols, even reducing dosage slightly (gasp), not to mention lifestyle changes.
Since my comment was quoted, not sure if this was all directed at me, but my protocol is all doctor prescribed and based on bloodwork, NOT doing whatever I please...In fact, I was told here by some of the veterans that it seemed my doctor prescribed AI dose was a bit much, so I'm confused on what seems a little like an admonishment.
It was a generalized comment. You used the phrase "too much for my dose" which implies there are sets amount of AI to take with certain amounts of testosterone. It simply seemed like a good point to share my thoughts on this. Was not directed towards you in a negative way.
It seems most people start to chase numbers too and not how they feel, I will never forget when I felt the worst and my doc did not give me the #'s until I told him I felt the worst, I was @ 1200, felt the best @ 800, also after 2 years 0 AI and he never starts anyone on a AI out of the 2000+ people he has treated, but then people get on the forums and OCD and read all kinda BS and would trust some random person on a PC then find a good doc for solid advice. It's nice to not have to look for help anymore lol
