From migraines to nose bleeds to steroids to cured.

I haven't been able to share this with many people directly involved in my life but I know I can here. Maybe some will find it as interesting as I do.

So, from approximately grade 7 to age 20, I suffered from very bad migraines. There was no rhyme or reason to their trigger, they were brutal. As an example, I'm sitting in class, I'd look up at the clock on the wall, and I can see the twelve but not the six. This was the start, it was a blind spot. From here I had about 20 mins before I'd start extreme vomiting and take on a wicked migraine headache. I'd be out for 2 days because of this. Terrible plague.

Right up until I tried my very first cycle at age 20 I still suffered from them. Only tried AAS intermittently over a 1.5 year period, But, I noticed that during, and after my AAS use, no more migraines! It was a god send. I did get one approx 5 years ago, that's a solid 10 years migraine free from what I believe was since my initial use of AAS. Haven't had one since.

As well, I also suffered from nose bleeds all my childhood, right through to age 20... While sleeping, while driving, Even got them while working out in the gym once or twice. But, they seemed to stop after AAS use.

I experienced both right up until I tried AAS. Both seemed to stop afterward. Just thought I'd share. I don't know how but in my mind it was the steroids.

Anyone else experience something like this?

So you were living with blood issues (very thin blood), hence the bleeding and vomiting, and steroids thickened your blood (for now). Don't call that a cure just yet, you need to see a doctor and find out why you're suffering Thrombocytopenia or excessive anti-coagulation.

You should get a CBC panel and check your vitamin K levels too.

That's a condition where platelets are low.

Thanks for the info Austinite. It's been 16 years since I've had a nose bleed, and in 16 years I had only the one migraine 10 yrs after the AAS, thank god it all ended. So it no longer appears its a problem, but ur insight is interesting and I fully trust it. What amazes me is that none of the doctors I saw with regards to these issues suggested such things. One of them wanted to cotorize (misspelled) the inside of my nostrils to prevent further nose bleeds. I say no thanks sir!

I've suffered from migraines my entire life, much like you described. They only improved/decreased in frequency when I reached my mid-30's which seems to be the case for most sufferers. I still take daily preventive meds and an occasional Imitrex, but they occur much less frequently. No offense, but I highly doubt the use of AAS had anything to do with it...

I can't prove they did. All I'm saying is I consistently suffered from them for years. Right up until I tried AAS. Then they were gone. Usually if something changes after a drastic change in lifestyle you can count on that being the reason. That's all.
