They have an all you can eat pick three items 36 dollars
I picked slivered smoked salmon, fresh shrimp, and California rolls. My wife and I ate a nice complete meal. She had a normal dinner type dish.
When we were done (she was done) I was still enjoying the salmon and shrimp she got bored and said I'd like to leave. So I said take the car I'll walk home when I'm done. She did she wasn't upset just wanted to get on with he evening.
I ate for just under three hours before I was satisfied I'm not a slob and I wasn't scarfing food down my neck.
But I truly packed it away. I left a generous tip and look forward to eating there often.
Im curious if its not a legal requirement is it not always considered generous? What would be generous?

Thing is, here in the states restaurant wait staff are taxed for gratuity, even if they received none. Gov assumes they are getting cash which of course is not traceable, so they err on the side of caution and tax'em anyway. Gotta love our benevolent gov.

It kinda is a unwritten rule to tip here in the states. The US doesnt pay waiters and waitresses the same way as other countries. They only make a couple of bucks an hour and solely rely on tips
