    Water retention during contest prep is irrelevant.

    A good pair of eyes (ie a coach) will be able to distinguish between fat retention and water retention... and the former is the only one that matters.

    How lean are you currently?

    I'm a fan of winny personally... but not for that long in a prep cycle... especially if you'll be training heavy in a caloric deficit near the end, as most do to hold on to as much muscle as possible.

    Your joints will hate you... especially with letro in the mix. At least, IMHO.

    Personally, I'm not sure I'd give contest prep gear advice publicly... because it runs contrary to the advice given to Joe average.

    I don't have a coach I'm doing this all by myself. Im around 12%. I never have joint problems from low estrogen or win I'm blessed in that regard but Im super inclined to get gyno since i had puberty gyno.

    Stats:
    25
    205lb
    12% BF
    5x5 maxs if relevant.
    Squat 405
    Bench 365
    Deadlift 545
    8 years of training

    17.75 inch arms, 50 inch chest, 34 inch waist
