I do believe your doc couldn't prescribe you HGH unless your pituitary is so broken it doesn't matter how much you stimulate it. It took me over a year to get my prescription HGH, please take the prescription.

Not true, if he can show you are just producing less than what you should (similar to low T) he can prescribe it. I had an RX for over a year but finances got tight and I let it lapse and he has since retired and was also over 1hr away. I'm considering looking again soon for another clinic.
I have to drive over an hour to get mine. Most insurance companies demand pretty hard evidence to pony up the dough for HGH coverage, otherwise every old bag over 50 would be taking it. For one thing, it helps keeping your hair from going gray. And is like a youth tonic.
I'm no doctor, but if your growth hormone output is so low it requires supplementation, then that means it's broken.
When I started in 2006 I got a ninety day supply of humatrope for $35. It's now gone up to $105. My Blue Cross costs me $186.14/month through work.
An Arginine Stimulation Test is probably the most effective. GH serum is not accurate as it's just a snapshot in time.

2Sox if your insurance will cover it, jump on it.
Don't have a clue about insurance yet. I have Medicare with GHI/Emblem Health as secondary. VERY good coverage here in NYC but I'm sure I'll need documentation to prove need. I'm gonna call my NP tomorrow to see what the story is. Maybe he knows something I don't. Crossing my fingers.
