I thought it was influenced by the x chromosome. What does your mother's father's hair look like?

My husband has a thick head of hair, and his father thinned significantly, but his mother's father had a mane all the way into his early 90s when he died.

Bald from an early age. My brother took after him. Dad's father died before dad was born. So I have no idea, but I take after my father in this area.

I've been non stop testosterone for several years now, and still a full head of hair.
