One last thought PP

but one last thought. I've been through a few rough patches, and fell low, similar to where you are now. Mine was work related, and the difference between the higher responsibilities of my ethics and licensure and the lower demands of some of my former companies wanting me to make the "Numbers look good". I took the high ground and had to resign more than once. Although my conduct was proper and expected in my line of work, it's hard to explain to my family why I haven't brought home a pay check in six months. As I look back, I now see that I was able to manage and something always came through to get me by. I believe it strengthened me and my resolve to conduct my affairs ethically. Although my situation is not as extreme as yours, I believe the same basic principles apply. True, you may lose a house and some income for awhile. And you may have to go to county medical instead of a better quality PPO/HMO you are ordinarily expecting, but I think, 12 months from now, if you come back, you will say that you somehow managed and are OK. It's tough to see that from where you are at the moment. Truth is, when you "hurt", all you can see is right now....

....but quite often, the future has a funny way of working out.

I have to agree with the 100% Been there done that also. Ive been laid off from work a couple of times but always kept a positive attitude. 1st time was when my daughter was 6mo old and we had just bought a house. I managed to keep things afloat barely basically ran out of options the same week I got another job. 2nd time was when my daughter was 2, 1/2 during my divorce and wife died just at the end of the whole mess. Got a job about 3 months later. Luckily it was not sooner or my head would not have been in the game.

Things have a way of working out and sometimes it's for the best even if it does not look like it at first.
