the mask with all the valves to simulate training at altitudes of up to18000 ft come with it. It simulates breathing at altitude. It forces your lungs to work harder by creating resistance. Which allows the avioli to epand, and work more efficiently.
Everyone will make fun of you, call you bane, but if you have thick skin I think you will see the difference. Try sprints, and do not allow your self to fully recover before you do your next sprint. Do this repeatedly until your sick. If you don't allow yourself to fully recover in between sprints your forcing your cardio system to work overtime, and to adapt to the greater work load.
if your not having problems with the strength part of the competition cut back a little on strength. Do enough to maintain, and really focus on taxing your cardiovascular system. If you push it past it's limit it will adapt, and overcome. Do this for a while and before you know it your cardio will be a strong point.
