Surprisingly there are some good deals on 70" 4k tv for under $1500 if you shop and they do have a great picture even though there is not all that much released in 4k format yet.

Keep in mind that you will need a dvd player that is 4k compatible and upconverts to 4k. Dont cheap out on the dvd player because that cam make a lot of difference in pictures quality. Not all blue ray players are created equally.
