I have always been weak in my bench press. My father was the exact same way. Squatting though has always been a different story. One of my training partners is the exact opposite of me in that aspect. I equate it back to being in the Marines in that I could not run very fast for very long, but I could throw on an 80 pound pack and hump it all day with no issue. People are built differently and you will always have strengths and weaknesses. I have determined that the important thing to remember is what your strengths and weaknesses are, and how to adapt to them.

Then again.... some people use a lot of excuses. I personally blame my recent weight gain on running a business and "not having time to workout like I should". I know I am just being a P**sy though. That said, I have started my diet and program again.
