Does scale weight ever mess with your mind?

I'm 6' and started my diet at 280 and now down to 247. I'm thinking i need to get down to 210 to be as lean as i want. Problem is the thought of being 210 sounds depressing as hell. I know it's all about how you look but this is messing with my mind. any of you guys relate to this?

instead of looking at it as,( look how far I got to go )look at it as look at what I have done to my body and ill do what ever it takes to get back to normal again. and when you are big to start with it will take longer to see a difference than someone that's onley 20 lbs over weight. so just don't give up and do things right and you will reach your goals no problem don't worry about how long it takes. iv lost almost 70 lbs by the way

Btw it's not depressing that i still have 37 pounds of fat to lose, but rather depressing that i'm only going to weigh 210. sounds tiny as hell to me lol

I have a real love hate relationship - I use it daily - but the results are what counts - I guess I love to gate it lol

As long as your looking and feeling better that's all that really matters

I relate to that. I've been lifting for 10 plus years and have always busted my ass and built up good strength and size. despite that i always looked like shit because i never took my diet serious and ate whatever all in the name of getting bigger and stronger. Enough was enough of that and it's nice to start looking like i actually lift haha.

I'm temped to just forget about the scale for 5 or so months lol. probably not the best idea because it'll make it harder to adjust my diet. but it does screw with my mind lol

I used to care a lot but as I've gotten older I don't weigh myself ever. Just make sure I look good in the mirror

Weight is just a number....don't concern ur self with lbs....more so how ur body changes and what u look like....
It's a disappointment waiting to happen more than likely imo...
You'll get to a certain goal/weight...then ud say.."man if u can just lose 10 more lbs"...or "man I got to my goal..but I think I wanna get to.........." and the cycle repeats...
I've weighed myself for the first time since xmas...before that..I couldn't tell u..and the only reason I did was bcuz my instructor asked me how much ed I weighed and I said like 195...and he looked at me like.....yeeeeeeh right....im at 205...ive been as low as 165 dieting....I'm vets all in how u look
Just focus on transforming ur body...weight is nothin

There's a lot to be said for this. I think there are so many people, who, on their deathbed, will be reflecting on the fact that they literally spent 30 years obsessed with 10 pounds when that energy could have gone towards living a fuller and more enriching life.

Yep - all XXL for me. All the suits and nice shirts and pants I had tailored to fit are no longer in my closet. I tailor very few things now because I've wasted so much money

I measure myself like once every month, for shiz and giggles. And to see if my cut is actually working.

    I look at the mirror

I've been taking the same pics at same angles and of course I tried on my shorts from last summer, haha, my ass don't fit, the waist is huge so going by those two things - I'm starting to say F the scale - note I only use it to see if I'm gaining weight...

I used to be a slave to the scale and now I just look in the mirror to see where I am at and where I want to be....it's that simple. On a cut I will weigh in every 2 weeks and same on a bulk to just get an idea if I need to adjust my calories.

At one stage I was a slave to the scales, every day I would weigh myself. No matter what I looked like or felt like the only way I knew I was getting bigger was the scales. Its just a mind fuk to be honest stay well clear and look in the mirror and your clothes feel, or the best one your friends saying something like " fuking hell your getting big"

Be sure to measure it after you "shiz" so you'll be lighter.
