The word "timepiece" pisses me off too lol

I do admire the craftsmanship tho..... So much precision and patience. I'd just never pay $100 for a watch let alone 2.5 million...... I'd rather hang myself and leave the money to my daughter
Oh, I loooove watches. Uh, I mean swiss timepieces. So happy to see this thread, and that video - that's my idea of porn! Patek Philippe never disappoints, ever. That watch is exquisite, but I think having it on my wrist would be the final improvement. 20 complications! amazing.

The engineering that goes into some of these watches is just mindblowing. One of my good friends collects "big date" watches, and the mechanics involved in fitting all the numbers needed to make the date fit beneath the face is incredible.

I have to admit I was pretty excited when I found a Rolex with a broken wrist band on the floor of a movie theater once back in the 80s.

That is until I found out it was fake. Saw one exactly the same in a jewelry store for $10,000. I asked how much to fix the band and they told me it's fake.
