Absolutely!! I've never been on one but it's plainly obvious that a paddle board would be an excellent core workout

I paddle board. It's an awesome core workout. I was surprised how effective for lower abs especially.

Yes, just the balancing on the board alone is an excellent core workout. Throw in paddling and I'd venture to say that you have a great workout.

I practiced martial arts for years but had to give it up when my school closed. Now, I'm just too old to try and take that up again, so I'm gearing up to give yoga a try. It's a little intimidating as I know it's way more than just stretching. But hoping for a good core workout from it as well.

Yoga is awesome. I feel best the day after yoga. I haven't been going regularly for 2 years and my body is much tighter that negatively impacting workouts. I need to get back into it. Thx for the push!

Girly, what's your take on heated yoga classes?? I'm looking for one in my area - and was also wondering what I should be looking for(in a yogi instructor) I believe this will surely help with my R side of muscle imbalances?!

I have never done hot yoga. There's a studio around the corner. I would do yoga class first bc those hot yoga classes are $$$ and u will want to know the poses b4 spend big bucks imo.

Yoga will absolutely help with imbalances. I think that's why I feel so much better. I have silicosis that was never diagnosed and treated in youth. I have major issues with my back and posture. The rhomboid exercises / lifting have helped as well.

Add yoga.heated if u like. Avoid Hawthorne. It's too benign and relaxing. I fell asleep.

The best instructed lead classes with men and women, skewed towards women who look amazing and even more so in their yoga pants.

If the bodies walking into class are out of shape....I say pass.....

The yoga school I will be attending offers heated vinyasa yoga, but I'll pass in favor of the beginner's class!!
