I don't have any of those symptoms . besides reflux entering my esophagus and causing redness . I assume diet related /excess weight I've put on and not being careful enuf.

lol, MrFreshmaker. Well, of course they're different. To some people, breaking a rib is pain, to others, a scratch on the arm is pain.
What your doc said is exactly what an ulcer is. The most common fix is treating H.P. with antibiotics, multiple antibiotics.
