I'd like to hit chest, legs, and arms and then drop into a pullback toward the end of the upcoming week?
    What's your thoughts, Clarky?
Aye that does sound good AG but i think i really need it the now so i'll pull back from the mora and see how i go. It usually takes me 2 wks ish to feel ready to go at it again so we'll see.
Like you said we are still going to failure so it sould not hinder us at all i would not think.

Getting mojo bavk....just came back from legs.

Gym was good for leg days....like the old school machines better.

    Seated calve raise

    Smith squats

    Reverse v squat

    Extensions

Seated leg curls (this machine loved)

    Lying curls

Rotary calves.... (seated pushing toes forward)

Felt great, Definitely gonna be sore for a few days.

If it's not one thing it's another recently with me. First day she was in the hospital (sunday) had a tooth ache. Now it's to the point emergency surgery. I've pushed it off as long as I can. I have 2 weeks maternity and baby and mom are healthy and we are going home in a few hours.

First thing tomorrow calling every dentist to see what I can do. It's so bad, any strenuous movement at the gym was killing me.

    I'm a fvcking mess hahaha.....little cvnt I guess.

I too, think by hitting the higher end reps to failure(not beyond) will still allow growth as well as a lil rest & recovery than back to beyond failure protocols!
Just since I've been on my pullback I can surely see how this is/can be used as a prime - opening up a growth window.. Im just trying to discover the timing needed to do so and put it all together b4 a cycle next time... Or if I open up a window hit it as hard as possible for 6ish wks or so...

You won't open any growth window with a pullback training protocol. It's for rest recovery and repair your CNS. You shouldn't be going to failure or true positive failure if you are then you haven't been training to true positive failure. It's impossible to train HIT all the time.

To open up a growth spurt its done via diet as with a pre cycle prime which can if done correctly fit nicely into a pullback and full on 6 wks hit growth training.

I cant HIT train every body part in a week. I do two of my four workouts HIT style for 4 weeks, take 2 weeks off of HIT then start then other two workouts for four weeks. Mon/Fri then Wed/Sat. I just dont have the energy or the recovery anymore. This has worked out well for me. Revised old guy HIT

Forget the growth window i don't know what I was thinking, lol Thx for the input as always... two straight sets, one of I go to or close to failure(on my pullback) I was referring to others as some go to failure just not beyond - and that's how I thought you trained as well... I'm a long way away from any growth window let alone full HIT(I've been having musing more issues with RCs and the R shoulder - hurts deep) so I do have 3 more wks b4 I reassess!

I appreciate the feedback, just on a dip myself lately! I had a feeling priming was through diet(but I think there's more to it LOL

Priming is pretty simple process once you understand your body but there are many other tools what will help to springboard you into a growth spurt when you start a cycle.

Very nice, Clarky! I bet the rev d'bell flyes and then rev cable flyes got those shoulders on fire.
I'm defo hitting a pullback after I finish this rotation. The wife scolded me this evening because she said I'm pushing myself too hard with work, lifting, and this stupid chest cold. Told her I had a pullback coming up soon (she's learned all.the lifting words/lingo over the years. LOL, she used to help me homebrew back in the day). Anyway, that made her happy, so I'll be starting a pullback toward the end of the week.

The wife has been bugging me about what I want for Christmas. I keep telling her I'm G2G, really just want some time off work, but she keeps hassling me.
I've been thinking about telling her to get me another handle for my high/low pulley setup.
I have a straight bar with stirrup handles, but have been thinking about getting one with cambered ends as well. Similar to the one in the pic below.
You guys think it would be useful?

Do you find it useful on seated/low pulley rows also, Marcus? I was thinking I could alternate between my V-handle and the cambered bar on seated rows also.

Morning guys/gals! Second night I didn't sleep well. Head/Throat could I feel like its in the early stages of it. I have been taking some meds for it for two days now.

I hope everyone is doing good. Lets start our work week off good. I will kinda be glad to be back in a routine and get back on my diet. I will be leaving to go on vacation at the end of the month. So I need to tone up and get my shit together. Plus I need to get bigger.

Hope everyone has a good day!
