Also, if you have the extra money you can consider getting membership at Origins Parkour (Main and 12th). There are some intesnse power lifters that just deadlift for 90 mins. Origins doesn't have a lot of variety - it's mostly for warming up before parkour.
The gay community on Davie street works out at steve nash on Davie and Howe so squat rack, bench press, heavy dumbells etc are free all the time, literally all the time.
