Its stronger than anastrozole and more expensive, why would we need anything stronger than that?
Its stronger than anastrozole and more expensive, why would we need anything stronger than that?
When I first joined this forum a few years ago, I was surprised at the habit of several posters' (who seem not to be here anymore) of stating their opinions as if they were fact; not offering simple scientific proof to back up their statements. I was critical of them for this then and I continue to be critical of this now - because it still goes on. Your statement above illustrates this.
As a retired teacher of the Earth and environmental sciences for thirty years - who has presented research papers at various symposiums over the years - I believe I can differentiate between the two. I took pride in my job, part of which was teaching my students to ask a few simple questions about what they heard in my class and in their other classes. Is this true? And, Where are the facts to back this up? Just because statements were coming out of the mouths of teachers - or other so called authorities - didn't mean they were true.
In my opinion anyone on this forum who makes statements should, at the very least, state if they are opinions. If they do not, they are doing a tremendous disservice to the men and women here and wasting a tremendous amount of time. I've read countless posts of opinions disguised as facts. And I've read countless questions on these posts that could have been avoided if the original poster just simply said in the beginning, "In my opinion" - or stated the data to back them up. Other expressions that have been used for clarification have been, "From my experience", "To my knowledge", "It's my understanding". Time wasters and misinformation in not what we need here.
In my view - especially being a site sponsor, whether you are a medical professional or self taught like many of us here - I feel you have a double responsibility - and an obligation - to back up your statements with facts. (And answering a question with another question seldom has any value. In my experience, it's an attempt at intimidation by people who don't have the knowledge for an answer. And it exhibits a contempt for the person asking the question. Naked superiority.) No knowledgeable poster on this forum gained credibility and respect overnight. Not one.
