is it a good compound? its a GREAT compound! wen used with respect and caution.

its also a good tool for weening off of heavy oxy/pain pill use and heroin. but again, used within reason and not as simply an alternative.
Ok, I gave ~ 5g of the green Kratom a try today. It does have a relaxing quality and definitely eased my lower back spasms and squashed some pain in my right quad. Definitely prefer it over having to take something strong like Lortab. I wouldn't have any problem getting a script for Lortab, but I just don't care for the way it or opiates screw up my guts.
Now, is it something I would want to use daily? I'll have to say no, not unless I had a chronic pain condition I was trying to manage w/o resorting to script pain meds.
It did a much better job of getting my back muscles to unlock/cease spasming than my muscle relaxers that I occasionally take, but without the grogginess that I sometimes get from Flexeril.
Would I feel safe giving my wife a 3-5 g dose when her arthritis is giving her grief? Absolutely!
Would I give her a 3-5 g dose and turn her loose on Amazon to do some shopping? Hell, no!
Again, I think it can be a very useful pain relief tool provided you can manage yourself, but I also agree with Juiced Porkchop's post above. If you have opiate dependency issues, this may not be for you.
Personally, I feel I can use it on a "as needed" basis, and then put it back in the cupboard until I had an issue w/ pain again.

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
