    I had a hernia repaired back in 1987. Only missed a week of work and about 3 weeks out of the gym. With this being said I "felt" the repair for at least a year. My doc said i could not damage what he repared however the area takes at least 12 weeks to heal properly. You'll feel the tightness and hardness in the repaired area for over a year. No problems since. I'd personally hold off awhile until you feel comfortable pushing hard. You'll probably have the tendency to baby the area so no need to waste a cycle if you can't hit it all out. Just my opinion.

    I had one repaired laparoscopically years ago. Put a screen in. I asked him to just put one in on the other side while there just in case, he said no......
