    Do you press with a suicide grip or your thumb wrapped around the barbell/dumbbells, Mr. BB? I use the suicide grip for close grip presses and occasionally overhead d'bell presses, however, if I use it too often, I tend to get palm issues from the suicide grip.

    Bedtime for me. Just put away 8 oz. of grilled chicken, grilled leeks, and grilled eggplant. Probably watch about 30 minutes of a scary movie the wife is watching and then I should be fairly comatose.

    thumb wrapped on free weights, suicide on smith and machines

    You're right, I bruised it doing hammer shoulder press machine. When I got to the smith machine to do a bit of behind neck press I was already with some pain. Its not exactly mid palm, you know, its where the bar sit inline with the forearm.

    Guess Im using too much weight for my hands

    Couple of nice days of training. Arms still fried from Thursday's & Saturday's workouts. Yesterday was legs and abs, today all cardio. Hope you all are doing well.

    I occasionally get the same issue. Fortunately, it seems to clear up within a week to 10 days and isn't a full time chronic problem. It's just aggravating as the dickens.

    Oh dang, lady and gents, I am defo ready to pullback intensity for a week or two because I kicked the shit out of my arms tonight.

    Incline d'bell curls- 2 w/u, Work- 7,drop,3+,drop,3+
    Preacher curl on back of incline bench- 1 w/u, Work-4,drop,3+, and 4 forced reps w/ a slow 5 coint neg. New weight.
    Close grip cable curl- Work- 5+ reps w/ a slow 5 count negative and positive.
    Seated concentration curls- Work- 5+,drop,3+, and 3 forced reps w/ a slow 5 count neg.
    Close grip Smythe press- 2 w/u, Work-3, drop,3,drop,3. Rest 1 minute and drop some weight. Work2-7 good reps.
    Triceps pressdown w/ straight handle- 1 w/u, Work-7 -3, drop,3+ w/ a 5 count hold on partial.
    EZ curl skullcrushers at a light-ish weight- Work- 6 good reps.

    Arms are smoked and a very good pump tonight.

    44 minutes.

    Yes sir, I was happily surprised with that one. . Ready for the pullback now and will still keep chipping away at those weights, just no drop sets for a "wee" while.

    I finish work next wk (friday) for 2 wks can't wait. Really looking forward to the rest and just to get away from the fvcking shit hole lol. Anyway one of the machine men i work with trains as well quite a big fvcker, he only stays about 20min from me so am going to train with him at his gym a few days while on holiday.
    He was going through the gear they have ( haha not oil fellas) and it sounds great, ma shit hole has fvck all so if i like it i think i will go train there 2-3 x a wk. Only thing i don't like is that year contract pish, can't be fvcked with that nonsense.
    Anyway, back to it the mora and looking forward to it.

    Sweet. Sounds like a blast, Clarky. Does he train HIT or are you going to try his style one day and HIT on another day.
    I'm only off the weekend before Christmas. They nixed our holidays and time that was alloted for machinery to be down while we worked on machinery is now dedicated to running.
    Just as well I guess , I'm not much on holidays anyway. The wife will celebrate Christmas with her sister so she'll get her kicks in.
    Enjoy your time off and make the most of it.

    Naa AG, He does sets and pyramids the weight. Will say to him though but think he's set in his way 50 odd year old. I'll give it a go just for a change but i love the HIT. Probs just go back to training on my own hahaha,
    Aye kinda shit about your time off mate but you do hate the holidays haha.

    Guys and girls what's happening? Hope everyone is good and healthy. Haven't been around much but think of you all often. Been hitting it hard without fail, and feeling good for 40 (almost) .

    Back tonight:
    Bent over BB rows w/ v grip: warm ups, feel x 10, then heavy 160x5, dropped to 135x6 + 1rp
    Double dumbbell row (love this movement - start off with DB in each hand and bent over/knees bent, then stand up using your lower back while rowing the dbs) feel, working, then heavy w/ 70s x4, drop to 55s for 6 more
    Wide bar rows, working, heavy, drop
    Straight bar/straight arm lat pull downs

    20 mins light cardio and then lots of sushi

    Well, my arms are totally fvcked today. Shoulders Wednesday evening and then it's back to the squat day and calves.
    Really looking forward to the higher reps squats and I have to admit they are somewhat addictive. I have to thank Kel, Marcus, and BG for helping me get back into it. Every time I would read a post about hitting squats, I felt I was really missing out. Also, the risk factor is a tad lower now that I have a decent setup for squats.
    We did get a little bonus at work, so I think I may do a little anabolic shopping and also top off the deep freezer.

    Big salad w/ chicken breast for breakfast then bedtime for me. I did do some DC style biceps stretching at work earlier, so hopefully things will be right and not too tight this evening for shoulders.

    Been meaning to try ropes or putting the bar in front, but always just revert to presses or hacks. When I put the bar on my back I always feel like I'm going to rip a pectoral muscle.
