So I clearly suck at pinning any part other than my quads. I just can't seem to get my injecting hand at a good enough angle to inject steadily. With quads, I can use both hands and maneuver the pin to where I can successfully inject. It's quite easy actually - I know the quads are not the most popular spot and I see a lot about how quads hurt like hell, but I honestly have not had any of those problems. Where I have had problems have been my shoulders, and most notably my glutes.
So I did my 3rd pin in the glute last week. I just received a new 3ML syringe so it was a little bigger than I had been using. I inserted the need just fine, injected without any significant discomfort, but when I pulled out THE PIN WAS DAMN NEAR BENT AT A 90 DEGREE ANGLE. (facepalm)
"Oh Fuk, that will hurt like hell and leave a mark" was running through my head.
It took 3 days for the soreness to subside. No bruising/swelling, but hot damn that was a poor pin job! I was a mess, and pinned later that day a small amount in my left quad to get over the fact that I butchered my last pin job. Sort of a confidence booster.
Now my shoulders get sore much easier for nothing. Very easy to get to, but again I have to 1-hand the pin. I didn't butcher the muscle like I did in my arse, but it seems injecting there doesn't sit well with me.
Any suggestions for alternate locations, or tips to pin with more precision? Looking for any suggestions since I know site rotation is vital and I don't want to treat my quads like a pin cushion every time I need to inject.
If it's relevant, I'm injecting Test-E, about 200-300mg each time.
