    actually i have because i was having joint pain a couple of years ago and thought i possibly had gout.

    Ok, good to hear its not that.

    How many days a week are you lifting and whats the average number of sets per muscle group?

    Wondering if the volume of work might be causing your pains...

    i lift on a 6 week cycle. for example ill do heavy chest on monday with around ten sets in the 6 to 8 rep range, then the following monday ill do light chest with around 12 sets of 15 to 20 reps each.
