If you do extend all the way down you still should not be relaxing the bicep at all. Just like at the beginning of a leg extension you should be tensed before contraction. Bizz I'm the same as you, I rarely totally extend the elbow / bicep on any bicep movement. It just doesn't feel right to do so. Particularly on a movement such as preacher curls.

Slowly waking up and will go hit legs here in a bit and then head into work. Hopefully, I can get done in 6 hours or so.
