I could not take Cozaar/losartan for the exact reason you mentioned. I did much better on Atacand/candesartan. Think they both are ARB type BP meds.
BP meds can be funky. One of my early beta blockers was Lopressor/metoprolol. It totally trashed me, but when they switched me to Coreg/carvedilol, everything was smooth sailing.

Agree, candesartan is a much better option with its half life of 9 hours. Losartan half life is only 2 hours, it was the 1st ARB to appear in market, so things have evolved.Originally Posted by almostgone
