That drives me crazy too but as for the shoe part, I believe it is a cultural thing. I’ve seen it many times even at my work, when a pt comes in, they take their shoes off.

Yeah but there are signs saying shoes must be worn, and it's a crowded gym where everyone else is wearing shoes. How does he not figure it out?
