I’ll simmer down a bit and qualify what I just said. Cancer is cell growth gone totally out of control... you risk giving the cancer cells steroid enchanced growth capabilities

So steroids are a really bad idea....

Cannabis (marijuana) on the other hand could help

I dont know why I didn't think of cannabis myself. That's a great idea. And yes it's legal in our state

As for the nature of cancer- yes, I understand it's cell growth gone outta control. However it never occured to me anavar would increase cancer cell growth. I understand different cancers respond to different hormones differently. That's why I posted the question. I simply didn't know if there was a good reason why doctors don't give patients like her (who are wasting away) a drug made specifically for weight gain among people with wasting conditions.

Cause it deviates from standard practice. Consider the event things go south after off-label treatment - doctors can be then held responsible, it's a big risk to them.

Real problem is in the current state of things we can't really decide what we consider best when it comes to our health and life.
