Pretty damn close. You're English is great. There are some people I ask myself, "wtf is this person saying?" I always, easily, understand your posts. I am also jealous when people know a second language. It's a great skill to have
"Hopefully her age has caught up and dissuaded her from that horrific thought"
"Hopefully age has caught up with her, and got her away from that horrific thought"
The "dissuade", "got away from", "deterred", etc. is the hard part to phrase properly. And , as I would assume with most languages, you try not to use the same word multiple time ("her" in this instance could easily be used 3+ times)
