Olive oil can be cut with vegetable oils and still be sold as "olive oil". So it could be 40% olive oil 30% grape seed oil and 30% sunflower oil for example.
There's associates similar to USDA Organic that test oils . Was a big scam and outcry back in 2014-2016 when companies got caught.
If I remember correctly the statistic was less than 5% of olive oils tested at 100% purity.
Outside of mom and pop shops the best choice is Kirkland Signature in the dark glass bottles.
