I know y'all may not care for the vocals, but female bands always intrigue me, especially when they can crank out some sludge metal

It's that f-in B12 shot. Those things wire me up every time. It's been 15 hours ago that I got the injection. My body is stupid.

In case Igi does a drive-by. Pretty sure this was one of his "must see live" bands.

the band type o negative came on to my music feed randomly a week or so ago . but been listening to them since I was young.

I read an article concerning that. Then I ran across an article saying people with pre-existing cardiac condition and on ARBs or ACE inhibitors were basically screwed, lol.

Death metal is not normally my choice, but was introduced to this. I love the guitar and bass riffs.

Just watched “Murder In The Front Row” last night on Amazon. A little too Metallica heavy, but nice documentary on San Francisco hardcore, thrash metal in the early 80’s! God-damn, I need to see Vio-lence live again! It’s one of those bands that sounds so much better live and they are STRONG on-stage!

Been mostly listening to a bunch of sludge as of late. Crowbar, Down, Eyehategod, etc.

    Absolutely.
I’m also starting to delve into Neurosis and Electric Wizard a bit. There’s a whole lot of layers of that stuff to absorb though.

Idk how I’ve NEVER noticed this thread?

I know everyone’s version of heavy metal is different. But imo that FFDP pop music they play on the radio isn’t heavy lol

ABRs new album has been a staple

JB comes in around like 2:30 dude is so good

And The Ghost Inside is releasing a new album

    Break down at about 1:50

August Burns Red was sweet! Dude, I don’t have epilepsy, but that last video actually hurt my eyes!

Welcome to the thread - not mine, I’m just a frequent flyer and a metal-head till I die!

Listen to Sirius radio, “Liquid Metal” station.

    Also these guys.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JMlShkvLBcM

Basically a “supergroup” consisting of Jasta from Hatebreed, Kirk from Crowbar, and two guys I’d never heard of before (the Bellmore brothers). It’s an interesting meshing of the two bands stylings.

Today’s lab work is running with something from the doom genre. Also, it’s squat day, and squats always benefit from doom.
My Dying Bride used to be my favorite of the more death/doom style, Swallow the Sun showed up and Northern Europe (Finland in this case) proceeded to musically stomp the living dogshit out of the UK, again.

Newer track showing how they’re taking inspiration from literally every doom subgenre from old school Electric Wizard to funeral doom to their death/doom origins.

Can't get bored of Disturbed. This one is 2018, but so in theme with today's events:
