Here's the thing, in arguments, we tend to box people into the extremes of stereotypes (often inaccurate). Is everyone that's conservative a hillbilly that dropped out of school in 4th grade and dates his second cousin? No. Are liberals all little pansies that cry about everything and tuck their dicks between their legs? No. Most people are not anywhere near those extremes. I wouldn't label myself a liberal because I often don't even like a lot of people who are liberal. It turns out, a lot of people I get a long with in real life are conservative.

However, I think we can be good people, take care of our own, be kind to others, spread love, and still be wrong. Everyone is wrong in some way. I'll tell you how things were in a REAL communist country in the 80's. You went to the grocery store down the street and you could find 2 things: tomato paste and champagne. You had to sit 3-4 hours in line to get bread. If you were a farmer, you had to hide your crops because the communists would take all your shit and give you back a small percentage from the collective. If you were a doctor, you made as much money as a garbage man. People used bribery to pay people, because what you got from your salary wasn't enough. There was a second market where people traded shit, unofficially. You had limited money so you had to make ends meet in other ways. If your neighbor smelled you cooking a bean soup, they'd come over and ask you if they could borrow the smoked bone after you finish cooking so they can make a stew with it. People had very little belongings. Everyone, and I mean everyone, would be forced to go into the streets during parades to honor the "Patriarchy" and the communist state. Every building, including kindergarten schools had pictures of the leader or of communist propaganda. Kids were taught communist/socialist poems to recite, praising the glorious leader. The government gave you your position in the world and kept you at that level. You couldn't progress. People were scared to talk. Communists paid "spies" to listen in and report back any dissidence. Your own friends could be spies. Thousands of people disappeared... Some in the night. The leader constantly attacked his opposition and the only media was the media provided by the leader and his party. You couldn't leave the country to go anywhere. Military was mandatory 2 years, men and female, no questions asked. My mother was 8 months pregnant with me in the military.


Can you see how I'd be a little alarmed when Trump goes around rallying more than governing, attacks and ridicules all opposing views, hints at shutting down news agencies that report facts that he doesn't agree with, is friends with communist dictators: N. Koriea & Russia, etc. To me it really looks like the only shield we have against totalitarianism is the constitution (which he & congress consistently erode). He acts EXACTLY like a communist dictator.


Now think back to those "happiest" countries I mentioned previously. In many of these liberal countries, weed is legal and has been for a while, prostitution is legal, freedom of speech is legal, you can do whatever you want. The country takes care of it's people just as people take care of themselves. Most of the people in the top 10 happiest countries live longer than us and are happier, so how can democratic socialism be so bad? I'll tell you how, perspective. Because we have been fed this lie by conservatives and Fox News that democrats are "socialists" because they want universal healthcare (which will actually lower costs over time for everyone because of less emergency hospital visits and better general health), and believe in social programs to help mothers, the impoverished, etc? Again, who benefits most from social programs in this country? Blue collar white American conservatives. Only stating facts.

Fear tactics have long been the driving force of the Republican Party. It's clear as day to me. They want you to fear the terrorists, the muslims, the Indians, the Mexicans, the latinos, the minorities, the democrats, and the liberals. They operate on fear-based tactics. The people who live in the boonies and have never actually met a muslim or been around one for longer than a minute, develop these ideas about them because "the media" tells them to fear them. I watch Fox News for 5 minutes and all I hear is shit about what minorities did or what some Mexican did, or some conspiracy about Hilary or Obama... It's all spin, all lies.


I'll say one last thing. If you are a hardcore conservative, you should feel right at home in Yemen, who don't you go there and visit? I don't fucking want to visit, so don't invite me over. Guess what, I've been to bunch of the so-called pussy liberal European countries... they have better roads than us, better/healthier food than us, everything is cleaner, entertainment is better, partying is better, women are more open-minded and "sexually progressive" let's call it. There are so many good things about those countries, that I have no association with or reason to defend. I didn't come from a liberal country, but I can appreciate some of the ideals of liberalism because in many capacities it works.

If you could do one thing Obs, or Gear, go travel the world and see things. You won't regret it, and it will educate you more than any book or Fox News/Rush Limbaugh/right-wing platform will do.

Small businesses provide jobs for about 60% of the population.. so yeah they are the life blood for the American Worker, and no most small business don't "outsource". theres a big difference between Bob's Plumbing and Wal-Mart.
Most Americans depend on "Bob's Plumbing" to earn a paycheck, buy a house and put food on the table.

not everyone has a cushy government job, like you.. where you get paid with stolen tax dollars, money taken away from the real workers and their families, to sit on your ass at home. Bob works 12 hour days, employees 15 people.. then you come along, tax him, take his money and use it for yourself just to sit at home and do nothing.


heres a little story for you.. maybe will help you see how important small business is to the American working class.

years back when I owned and ran a very successful commercial contacting company and employed quite a few people.. I was thinking about moving from my house that was on the golf course, to this house that I had found that was more rural and on 50 acres of pristine land. The house was a huge custom built luxury home, about 9000 sq ft 8 bedroom 7 bath (in NJ or NY the house would probably go for about 5 million+)..
anyhow, I got with my broker and lender and got the processes going to purchase the home. unfortunately my lender came back and told me I'm too heavily leveraged to purchase the home, cause at the time I owned 5 houses that were all in my name (I ran a real estate investment company as well, thats why I had 5 houses),, so I couldn't qualify to get this 6th house..
oh well. was a great deal and opportunity. but I didn't want to sell off and cash out on my other houses cause they were making me lots of money.

OK.. heres the important part. about a month later, one of my employees (the guy that ran most my big jobs for me).. told me he was moving out of the city and to the country.. I was like ok thats cool.
well one day he needed to get off work early to meet with the inspector at the house he was buying.. in that conversation with him I came to find out that he was buying the mansion on 50 acres that I wanted to buy!
everything went through, and he and his family moved into this beautiful mansion on 50 acres..

he would not of been able to buy that home, had it not been for me having paid him very very well over the last 10 years..

I always provided well for the people that worked for me. they were not 'slaves', they were essential partners and we all together worked for the common good of each other and the company.. at the end of the day I was always the last one to get paid.
at the end of the day, my employee got the dream house that I had wanted .. and I'm totally fine with that, I was happy that he and his family was able to purchase that home.

I have needed a day off for quite some time now. A designated day off...

This all came to be in a one week time frame. You would not believe how much my life has changed in the past week. I am sitting at my burn site and I am so fucking tired and I just needed some quiet for a minute this board seems to be the only place I can go for quiet.

I need my girlfriend to start running parts for me and answering phones but she is still babysitting. She feels like she has to work but she has no idea how much work I can send her. I'm so goddamn tired of answering phones and 500 messages and messenger messages and business page messages and her messages and website messages... As soon as I come out of a fucking tree.

I will get through this and come out smelling like a rose. I could just really use some cocaine

I had an idler pulley bearing take a shit on me right as I went into Kansas with an unlicensed truck. Luckily I have been doing this for so fucking long the next driveway was a guy that I had done a tree job for. I pulled into his driveway and called him and he was at the lake. He said it's no problem leave it there long as you want.

I had the fucking truck back on the road in 1 hour. Started and finished another job. People don't understand the weight on your shoulders. Keeping the equipment running. Juggling jobs and estimates. Doing a job that could easily kill someone. Performing the most dangerous job on the fucking planet. Worrying about the happiness of the guy sitting next to you in the passenger seat. Putting on a face for customers. Thanking those that have referred you. Dealing with custody court case. Worrying what your woman will say when you finally pulled in the drive late because you've been working your ass off and haven't been home. Dreading the last part so much that you make excuses not to go home. Dealing with finances when you are trying to take someone to the top with you. Constantly thinking about every single part and every fucking tool you need to perform a job while changing vehicles. Hoping every second the law doesn't fuk with you.

That's pretty cute I remember I had a 12 to 16 hour shift but I somehow managed to squeeze in a 6 hour part time job but that when I was 23. From the second I wake up until I go to sleep the only peace I get is when I ignore someone. And that always comes with retribution. I won't say how many hours I will have worked when I'm your age because I will never see your age.
